Hello!
We are excited that you are submitting a self-tape for ‘Zorba’ at J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company. Thank you in advance for your hard work and preparation.

This production of Zorba will go back to the original production’s concept which details a group of storytellers who inhabit multiple roles throughout the show and never leave the stage during its duration. We are especially interested in a gritty and earthy take on the material.
We are NOT having in person auditions for this, we are casting based off of your self tape submissions. Also, please note – you must be local to NYC for this contract. This company doesn’t provide housing.
For this self-tape please prepare:
-Begin your submission with a Slate: Name, Height, Location.
-16 Bars of your own song cut in the style of the show.
-The FULL material for your requested role found in the folders below – sides and song cuts – EVERYTHING!
-Include a dance/movement reel if you have one.
-Please note in your submission if you have any ability to play any instruments, especially guitar and hand percussion (tambourine/hand drums) and string/reed/brass instruments. Please submit a short video of your capabilities on the instrument, if you can.
