Chris Coffey

Chris Coffey is a North Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based professional theater multi-hyphenate who wears far too many hats. His critically acclaimed work as a music director and director has brought him behind the table for more than 40 productions, has earned him a reputation as a trusted source for actor-musician talent, and (along with his work as an actor) has been seen and heard on stages, screens, and speakers from New York to Alaska. Select credits include North Shore Music Theatre, Riverside Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, The Engeman, The Wick, Bigfork Summer Playhouse, Surflight Theatre, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, and many more. He was also a resident artist at Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse, NY, where he helped build casts for 22 shows over two seasons. Chris is also a highly sought-after voice teacher and audition coach, and his students can be seen on Broadway, National Tours, and at regional theaters nationwide. In his other life, he plays drums and guitar in the acclaimed NYC jazz combo, The Shubert Alley Cats, and is the owner of Sup Dummies, a full-service theater and production company where he is currently developing The Belfast Connection and The Mugford Tapes, the first two plays in playwright John Donovan’s new cycle: The Chelsea DiariesHis debut EP, The Stepping Stone Theory, is set to be released in Spring 2026. Chris is an alum of Manhattanville College and the National Theater Institute and is a proud member of AEA and Local-802 AFM. www.chris-coffey.com | @_chriscoffey
